Bio

Alejandra founded Spirare Tech to help ambitious teams build systems that actually work — across functions, across disciplines, and under pressure. She’s spent 20+ years designing and scaling complex organizations, with roles spanning engineering, law, product, and strategy.

Her career has taken her from navigating Navy warships to shaping emerging tech policy at Meta, launching responsible AI and open source projects at McKinsey, and rethinking digital health governance at Takeda. Currently, she serves as COO of Pasteur Labs, a deep tech startup focused on industrial simulation.

Alejandra has degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy (B.S., Systems Engineering), MIT (M.Sc., Mechanical Engineering), and Harvard Law School (J.D.). She’s currently a Senior Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School and formerly a non-resident fellow at Georgetown’s Center for Global Health Science & Security.

Alejandra is an advisor to several early stage startups. She speaks publicly about leadership in tech and writes about it at callmemapo.substack.com. In her spare time, Alejandra loves to paint, invent silly songs, debate the meaning of life, and play with dogs.
