Bio

Alejandra’s passion is to empower, elevate, and inspire others to accomplish great things. But that doesn’t mean her work is all fluff and no substance.

Alejandra is a proven leader, creative problem solver, and systems thinker. She has experience as a Naval officer, engineer, and lawyer and has degrees from the Naval Academy, MIT, and Harvard. Alejandra brings the rigorous problem solving and leadership skills honed from all these experiences to everything she does.

Alejandra is a product strategist and experience designer who enjoys tackling challenges at the intersection of technology, teams, and society — so responsible innovation is a sweet spot.

She is currently COO, Pasteur Labs, a Simulation Intelligence company. Prior to that, she was VP, Ethical Innovation & Privacy at a global pharmaceutical company. She also led a think tank at Meta focused on AR/VR, privacy enhancing technologies, and digital identity. In addition, she developed responsible AI products and services at QuantumBlack (AI by McKinsey) and helped launch the firm's inaugural open source project.

Alejandra writes and speaks publicly about leadership in tech and advises startups. She also volunteers her time mentoring women and military veterans. In her spare time, Alejandra loves to paint, invent silly songs, debate the meaning of life, and play with dogs.
